A Broward Sheriff's deputy has killed a pit bull after it bit an 8-year-old boy walking to school.
Authorities received a call Friday morning that a pitb bull was loose and had bitten a child on the arm. When the dog moved toward the deputy, he shot and killed the animal.
The boy's condition was not known.
The investigation is ongoing.
